Description:

One of the top-ranked zoos for families in the nation, the Phoenix Zoo houses more than 1,200 animals in areas divided by geographic origin, such as the Arizona Trail, Africa Trail and Tropics Trail. Daily and seasonal events like animal encounters, camel rides, a petting farm, pedal boats and cart tours give visitors many ways to experience the zoo in greater detail. Located inside Papago Park, the zoo is near to the Desert Botanical Garden, awash in the unique beauty of the desert climate.
